During this Easter Retreat, we will reflect on the meaning of Jesus’ death and resurrection through praise worship, bible lectures, group bible study, quiet time, reflection and prayer.

Northeaster UBF regional directors met for a retreat at Msn. Jeremiah Lee’s home, near the UConn campus in Connecticut, on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, January 16-17, 2011. Dr. William Jung (Boston), Joshua Yang (Worcester), Moses Kim (Trenton), Peter Kim (Rutgers), Zechariah Choi (Bronx), Caleb King (Manhattan), Wesley Yoon (Stonybrook), Abraham Lincoln (Yale), Jeremiah Lee (UConn) and David Baik (New York) participated.

After having a delicious dinner prepared by Esther Lee (Jeremiah Lee’s wife), we shared what we have been struggling most seriously during the last year. Our conversation went on until 3 am. After breakfast, we studied Luke 10:38-42, “At the feet of Jesus” together. We also shared how we can spend time at the feet of Jesus in the midst of our demanding schedules and pressures, and also how we can listen to the voice of God through our Bible studies. We also discussed about developing our Bible study program among us. We hope have an opportunity for our spouses to have fellowship in the near future.

Young Disciples Conference 2011 “Restoration”

UBF’s Young Disciples Conference is a yearly event that we’ve held for the last few years. YDC’s motto is “For young people who want to get serious about God.” The purpose of the conference is to encourage young disciples in their walk with God. To this end, we’ve been holding the conference with a different discipleship theme each year. Our prayer: that God may speak to us, and that we each may be encouraged by one another.

The theme of this year’s YDC is “Restoration” and we’ll be studying the life of Joseph in the Old Testament in two bible studies.
