2008 Purdue Conference News and Prayer Topics

By Dr. John Jun

The title of UBF International Conference 2008 was “For God So Loved the World” (John 3:16).

We thank God for answering our 3,000 prayers. God blessed our registration. Altogether more than 3,300 members from 77 nations attended. God blessed all the messengers of UBF, HBF and MBF meetings by the help of the Holy Spirit. After 3 World Mission Night’s video presentation and life testimonies, more than 500 young and senior members came out making a pledge to be a missionary anytime to anywhere. God also gave us cool weather as we prayed. When we left Purdue, the temperature returned to normal, 90 degree Fahrenheit.

Through the messages (Luke 15:11-32, Luke 19:1-10, John 4:1-26, Luke 23:26-49, John 21:1-17), we have learned the gospel and that God so loved us as our Savior and we should meet Jesus personally. Through Mark 13:1-37, we could learn the view of God’s history and could see that we are living just before the end of the world.

The signs of the end of the world are appearing clearly: many false Messiahs, wars and rumors of wars, disasters and famines. We see the increase of wickedness and the love of most grows cold. In such a world what kind of attitude should we have?

  1. We should put our true hope in Jesus’ coming and to participate in His glory and power when He comes.
  2. We must preach the gospel to all nations, especially to Muslim countries.
  3. Personally, we should confess our love toward Jesus and have a firm love relationship with Jesus everyday (John 21:18)
  4. We should teach the Bible to young souls on the campuses through one to one Bible study.
  5. We should double our ministry by 2010.
  6. Please pray for Dr. John Jun and for all continental directors.
